7 Day Weight Loss Challenge at Cowboy Fat Farm

Rancho Cortez, a Bandera, TX Dude Ranch and Cowboy Fat Farm, is hosting a 7 day weight loss challenge early next month. The winner receives a free stay. Contest starts December 3 and runs through December 10.

Bandera, TX(PRWEB) November 6, 2011 Rancho Cortez, a popular dude ranch and fitness center located in the heart of Texas Hill Country just west of San Antonio, is hosting a 7 day weight loss challenge. Contestants start with a public weigh in, work out and eat healthy all week, and then have a public weigh out. The loser of the highest percentage of body weight is the winner of a free stay.

Rancho Cortez, has an alternative to the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Instead of spending the first week in December fighting the crowds at the mall, spend it at Rancho Cortez losing those Thanksgiving pounds and getting a jump start on New Year's Resolutions. To make things more interesting, the winner receives a free stay. That's a nice Christmas gift.

"We've had hundreds of people come through our fitness program" explains Mary Cortez, co-owner of the ranch with her husband Larry, "it's fun, it's healthy, and most importantly, it's successful." The activity list is impressive, ranging from outdoor activities such as morning boot camp, hikes through the Hill Country State Natural Area, and obstacle course, to indoor workouts such as water aerobics, pilates, strength training, yoga and circuit training. Workout schedules are individualized to take into account the various fitness levels of guests. And weight loss is guaranteed.

Accommodations are comfortable; food is healthy but not fancy. One of the favorite aspects for fitness guests is the proximity of the dude ranch, operated by husband Larry Cortez. All dude ranch activities are open to fitness guests, so in addition to hiking and working out, guests can play cowboy by riding horses, learning to throw a rope, chasing cows, or sitting around the campfire and listening to cowboy yarns told by Larry. Or just leaning back and enjoying the sky full of Texas sized stars.

Rancho Cortez is located in Bandera, Texas just outside of San Antonio. To find out more about the contest visit http://www.RanchoCortez.com. Both the Rancho Cortez Dude Ranch and the Cowboy Fat Farm are open 365 days a year.
